Mike Lednovich is an award winning journalist both at the Ft. Lauderdale News/Sun-Sentinel (1976-86) and the Orange County (Ca.) Register (1986-94).

His expertise has been featured on television news programs PBS Frontline, CNN, A Current Affair and I Almost Got Away With It.

Mike also served four years (2018-2022) on the Fernandina Beach City Commission. He was mayor from 2020-2022.

After journalism, He transitioned to business performance leadership expertise at the Franklin Covey Leadership Center (1997), the Northwestern University School of Newspaper Management (1998) and the Stanford University Business Leadership Center (2000-2001).

Mike then became CEO of a $60 million public works (schools, courthouses, fire stations etc.) construction company and later was Interim President of a Make-a-Wish Chapter in Southern California.

Mike is now Vice President/Senior Editor for the Fernandina Observer.
